Three Charged in Barksdale Shoe Robbery

Three teenagers were charged in the robbery that happened on Feb. 3.

Police arrested three teenagers on Monday in connection with an armed robbery in Dale City two weeks ago that started with an attempted shoe sale.

The robbery took place on Feb. 3 when two teenagers and a 42-year-old man arranged over Facebook to meet with a stranger in front of a house on Barksdale Street to sell three pairs of shoes, worth about $300. The three victims were surrounded by a group, and one of the attackers held a handgun. The attackers took the shoes and the victims' cash.

A 15-year-old boy was accused of being the attacker with the handgun. He was held at a juvenile detention facility, and is charged with robbery, use of a firearm in commission of felony and assault by mob.
