K-9 Unit Searches for Armed Robbers on Minnieville Road

One of the men grabbed the victim's cell phone and another man pulled out a handgun, Prince William County Police said.

Prince William County Police dispatched a K-9 unit to search for two men who reportedly stole a cell phone from a man who was walking in Woodbridge Saturday afternoon. 

Police did not find the men, who robbed a 43-year-old man on the 13400 block of Minnieville Road around 5:31 p.m. The victim was walking in the area when he came across the two men, then struck up a conversation, according to police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok. 

One of the men grabbed the victim's cell phone and another man pulled out a handgun, Perok said. The victim was able to escape and call police. He was not injured. 

Suspect descriptions:

  • black, 17-18 years old, 5'11", with a medium build, wearing a white shirt
  • black, 17-18 years old, 5'6", with a heavy build, wearing a black shirt with a skull on the back
