Multiple Gunshots Reportedly Fired Near Dale City Home

Dale City man was subsequently arrested and charged.

Police arrested a Dale City man Sunday night after his neighbors reported hearing several gunshots near his house, Prince William County police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said.  Terrel Xavier Downing, 24, has been charged with reckless handling of a firearm. He is being held on a $3000 secured bond. Police initially responded to a shots fired call for the 14300 block of Ferndale Road in Dale City on Jan. 27 at 10:15 p.m.  "Several callers reported hearing multiple gunshots in the area," Perok said. Gun Goes Off During Family Fight

The bullet did not strike either man, police said.

Two family members face charges after a gun went off while they were allegedly fighting, Prince William County Police said.  Stephen Allen Witt, 33, of Londonderry Court in Dale City, is charged with reckless handling of a firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and assault and battery. Damon Barry Witt, 37, of the same residence, is charged with unlawful wounding.  "Both accused individuals, who are family members, became involved in a verbal altercation which escalated physically," Officer Jonathan Perok, a spokesman for the Prince William County Police Department, said in a press release. Shots Fired at Lake Ridge Vehicle

A white SUV was seen speeding away around 4:55 a.m. Nov. 25.

Prince William County Police are investigating a report that someone fired shots into a vehicle parked in the Lake Ridge area on Nov. 25.  The owner of vehicle parked on the 4500 block of Daisy Reid Avenue reported at 10:42 a.m. that during the overnight hours, someone fired multiple rounds into his car. When police canvassed the area, neighbor reported hearing gunshots around 4:55 a.m. and saw a white SUV speeding away from the parking lot. However, no one called the police at that hour, police said.  No one reported any injuries and there was no other reported property damage.

Police Investigate Gunshots Near Neddleton Avenue

Police did not find any suspects after investigating the incident on Oct. 7.

Prince William County Police responded on Sunday to a report of gunshots in the Woodbridge area.  Callers to the 911 line reported hearing several gun shots fired on Oct. 7, around 11:49 p.m, according to police reports. Police officers found shell casings in the area, but there were no injuries or property damage reported.  Police did not locate any suspects.  Anyone with information can call Crime Solvers at 703-670-3700 or 1-866-411-TIPS.
