DAKS Grill: Farmhouse Dining in the Suburbs

Dale City restaurant delivers delicious food in a cozy, quiet atmosphere.

DAKS Grill in Dale City has a location problem. It stacks up nicely against the gauntlet of Applebee’s, Glory Days, and other adjacent franchises. It is just a stone’s throw from a major intersection on the PW Parkway. But DAKS is housed in a converted farmhouse that belongs 50 miles west in the hills of Delaplane, where it would be encircled by vineyards and rocky pastures instead of squeezed between a Ford dealer and Lowe's. The suburbs have passed the old Russell House and Store by, but DAKS still hearkens back to a simpler time. It lacks the sophisticated bustle of Coastal Flats or Uncle Julios. One of our family favorites. Dark cozy and warm. Great for cozy date night. I am unsure how the article can compare Daks to Applebee or Glory Days, they are night and day. Daks is mre in line with Carrabbas. Daks is not cheap but will not break the bank. We try and go at least once or twice a year. It is a good recommendation   more ›
