Murder and Stabbing Indictments in Case of Dumped Body

Juan Carlos Flores is one of two men accused in Dale City case.

A grand jury in Prince William County Circuit Court recently indicted a local man who is accused of killing another man and leaving his body in a Dale City neighborhood. On May 6, the grand jury indicted Juan Carlos Flores, 25, of Dale City, on charges of murder, conspiracy to commit murder and stabbing in commission of a felony in the January death of Barbaro Lupe Alonso-Iraola.  Another man, Douglas Hernandez, is also accused of conspiring to kill Alonso-Iraola. He is scheduled to appear in General District Court on Wednesday for a preliminary hearing on a first-degree murder charge.  According to police accounts, two men—who police have identified as Hernandez and Flores—pulled up Cardin Place in a white, older model minivan the evening…

Man to Serve 20 Years in Murder for $1 Million Insurance Payout

Jung Min Jun, 59, of Fresh Meadows, N.Y. was sentenced in Prince William County Circuit Court to 45 years in prison with 25 years suspended.

A New York man was sentenced on Friday afternoon to serve 20 years for murdering his elderly relative for a $1 million life insurance payout.  Jung Min Jun, 59, of Fresh Meadows, N.Y. pleaded guilty in November to mudering his brother-in-law, Kwang Sup Hur, of Dale City, in an attempt to collect on a $1 million insurance policy that would have been paid out to his son.  Jun listened quietly as his translator explained the documents he was about to sign in Prince William County Circuit Court on Friday. Police Charge Two in Dale City Homicide Case; Third Suspect Unidentified

Police identified the victim as Barbaro Lupe Alonso-Iraola, 47, of no fixed address.

Two men are now charged in connection to the homicide of a man whose body was left on a Dale City street Tuesday.  Prince William County Police arrested Juan Carlos Flores, 25, of no fixed address, on Wednesday in connection to the death of Barbaro Lupe Alonso-Irahola, 47, of no fixed address. The victim sustained trauma to his face from a blunt object and a knife, police said.  Police are still looking for another unidentified person who allegedly helped Flores dump Alonso-Irahola's body in a Dale City neighborhood.  They also charged Jose Miguel Diaz, 28, of Westminster Lane in Dale City, who owned the van used to dump Alonso-Irahola's body, Officer Jonathan Perok, a spokesman for the department, said in a press release. Body Left in Middle of Dale City Street

Authorities said that the incident occurred Tuesday evening on Cardin Place.

Two suspects dumped the body of a man in the middle of a Dale City street Tuesday evening, Prince William County Police said. Rescue personnel declared the man dead at the scene.  Someone on the 15000 block of Cardin Place called 911 shortly after 11 p.m., saying he had walked outside and found an unresponsive man lying in the street outside his home. Officers arrived on the scene and determined that the adult male had suffered trauma and was unresponsive. Police are investigating the incident as a homicide.  Witnesses said that two unknown men had pulled up in a white, older model "rounded" in shape minivan and left the victim there before they fled the area. Man Pleads Guilty to Murdering Dale City Resident for $1 Million Life Insurance Payout

Jung Min Jun, of Fresh Meadows, N.Y. pleaded guilty Tuesday in Prince William County Circuit Court to murdering his brother-in-law.

A New York man pleaded guilty Tuesday to murdering his elderly brother-in-law in an attempt to collect on a $1 million insurance policy that would have been paid out to his son.  Jung Min Jun, 59, a Korean citizen and former resident of Fresh Meadows, N.Y., pleaded guilty Tuesday in Prince William County Circuit Court to the 2011 murder of Kwang Sup Hur, of Dale City.
