Three Charged in Narcotics Investigation in Woodbridge

Prince William County Police charge three with possession with intent to distribute a schedule I or II narcotic.

Prince William County Police have charged three people in an investigation involving distribution of prescription medications, according to police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok.  Lisa Marie Parker, 28, of Bayside Avenue, Richard Glenn Elmore, 32, of the same address, and Cheryl Ann Mullins, 51, are each charged with possession with intent to distribute a schedule I or II narcotic.  Detectives from the Street Crimes Unit ended the narcotics investigation on April 16 with the arrests. Police: Foot Patrol Spots Drug Transaction

Dale City resident charged with possession with intent to distribute synthetic cannabinoids.

Officers on a foot patrol charged a local man after witnessing a drug transaction at a Dale City home, Prince William County Police said.  Isiah Gemale Washington, 23, of Meadowbrook Drive in Dale City, is charged with possession with intent to distribute synthetic cannabinoids.  Police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said that officers were on a "proactive foot patrol" at 2:11 a.m. April 18, when they saw the transaction.  "Officers made contact and identified the accused," Perok said in a press release. "During the course of the investigation, synthetic marijuana was recovered." Police Officers Flatten Tire to Stop Vehicle of Fleeing Suspect

Prince William County Police said the driver was driving while under the influence of drugs.

Officers had to take extreme measures to stop a driver allegedly high on drugs who ignored police emergency equipment, Prince William County Police said.  Wayne Edward Byrne, 51, of Joplin Road in Triangle, is charged with driving under the influence of drugs, eluding, possession of a schedule I or II narcotic and distribution of marijuana.  Police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said that the officer signaled Byrne to stop Friday at 10:13 p.m., while they were near Oak Farm Drive and Maple Ridge Drive. "The driver, later identified as the accused, ignored the officer’s emergency equipment and continued to the area of Jacks Dr and Rush Dr," Perok said in a press release." The vandal spray-painted the outside of the school, police said.

A vandal spray-painted the outside of Potomac View Elementary School Sunday, Prince William County Police said. School security reported that someone may have entered the school through an unlocked door between 7:42 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Sunday. Police responded to the incident at 8:45 p.m. The inside of the school was not damaged.

Someone entered the school through an unlocked door, but didn't damage anything inside, only to spray paint outside the school? Doesn't make sense. Even worse, this isn't the first time this year that someone has damaged Potomac View Elementary. And WHY are we still leaving doors unlocked?!?!?!?! Maybe those responsible could assist in the re-payment, instead of the County Taxpayers.   more ›

Marijuana Distribution Charges in Dumfries

Prince William County Police say hash oil and marijuana found in search.

Prince William County Police charged a Dumfries man after they found drugs at his home.  Thomas Lee Clark, 23, of Prince William Circle in Dumfries, is charged with distribution of marijuana. Detectives from the Street Crimes Unit executed a search warrant on April 4 at Clark's home, where they found hash oil and marijuana, police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said. Officers arrested Clark without incident.   Clark's court date is set for July 7. Perok said police withheld information about the arrest for investigative purposes.  The information in this article was provided by the Prince William County Police Department. Police: Dumfries Man Charged With Rape

Victim told police she awoke to find suspect raping her, according to Prince William County Police.

A Dumfries woman woke up to find an acquaintance raping her, Prince William County Police said.  MC Stewart, 22, of Wilson Street in Dumfries, is charged with rape.  Detectives from the Special Victim's Bureau responded on Sunday at 8:45 a.m. to a report of a rape on Saturday.  "The investigation revealed that the victim, a 25 year old woman of Dumfries, was asleep when she awoke to the accused raping her," Officer Jonathan Perok, a spokesman for the police department, said in a press release. "The accused is known to the victim and the assault took place at the residence of the suspect." After an investigation, officers arrested Stewart. Carjacking Victim Escapes From Gunman in Woodbridge

The suspect fled on foot, Prince William County Police said.

A Woodbridge man fled to a local business after a gunman tried to carjack his vehicle, Prince William County Police said.  Police responded on Sunday at 10:13 p.m. to the 13100 block of Marina Way in Woodbridge to the victim's report of the carjacking, which occurred around 2 a.m. that day. The 29-year-old Woodbridge man was in his vehicle in that area when an unknown woman approached him, police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said.  "During the encounter, an unknown man got into the passenger side of the vehicle, displayed a handgun, and demanded the victim’s money and vehicle. The victim ran from the vehicle to a nearby business where police were called," Perok said in a press release.  The woman also ran away, while the suspect fled …

Vandal Smashes Window on County Vehicle

The damage was around $2,000, Prince William County Police said.

A vandal shattered a window and chipped the windshield of a parked Prince William County vehicle in the Dumfries area, according to police.  A Prince William County employee reported that the vandalism likely occured between 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30 a.m. Thursday. At the time of the vandalism, the vehicle was parked by Northgate Drive and Edgewood Drive.  The property damage was reported at around $2,000. No information on the suspect was immediately available, police said.
