Habitat for Humanity is hosting a homeownership information meeting for families that would be interested in a 2-bedroom home in the city of Manassas. The organization partners with low-income residents to find them housing in the area. The meeting is from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Georgetown South Community Center on 9444 Taney Road in Manassas.

The Greater Prince William County Community Health Center is hosting an open house with various information sessions from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the center on 4379 Ridgewood Center Drive, room 102 in Woodbridge. The information sessions cover healthcare reform.

Catch a screening of the award-winning documentary “Blood Brother” this week. The movie is about a man’s decision to move to India and restart his life among children living at an HIV orphanage, according to a description of the event posted on the event’s website. The screening is at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the AMC Potomac Mills 18 on 2700 Potomac Mills Circle in Woodbridge. 

Northern Virginia Community College’s Woodbridge campus is hosting a free college essay application writing workshop at 6 p.m. Wednesday at 15200 Neabsco Mills Road in Woodbridge.
