John Mayer, Summer Sounds Concert, Final Stonebridge Summer Movie Night

John Mayer brings his Born & Raised Tour to the Jiffy Lube Amphitheater on Saturday. The singer/songwriter recently released Paradise Valley. Mayer is joined on the tour with American Idol winner Phillip Phillips. $33.75 and up. 7:30 p.m. 7800 Cellar Door Drive, Bristow.

The Prince William Community Band performs Saturday as part of the Summer Sounds Concert Series. Chair, blankets and picnics are allowed. Rain or shine. Free. 6:30 p.m. Harris Pavilion. 9116 Center Street, Manassas.

Prince William Ice Center holds an open skate from 12:10 p.m. to 2:10 p.m. on Saturdays.

Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center will host its final Summer Movie Night on Saturday. The shopping center will be screening “Miracle” on the jumbotron. Free. 7 p.m. 14900 Potomac Town Place, Woodbridge.

Good Shepherd Catholic Church hosts its second 5K run on Saturday. The will also be a 1K youth run. Online registration ends at noon Friday. Limited registration will also be available the morning of the race from 6:45-7:45 a.m. $25, with discount prices for children and for 1K participants. The run begins at 8 a.m. Saturday at 8710 Mount Vernon Hwy. Alexandria. The event is a kickoff to the International Festival planned for Monday.

Sing-a-Long ‘Sound of Music’ returns to the Wolf Trap on Saturday. The popular tradition gets the crowd involved with fun props to use during the showing and a costume contest. From $20. 7:15 p.m. at the Filene Center, 1645 Trap Road, Vienna. Also this weekend: STS9 & Umphrey’s McGee performs Sunday.
