Sound Off on the Future of Prince William County's 'Rural Crescent'

Share input with the county on how to preserve its rural character.

There's still time to share your opinions with Prince William County on the future of the Rural Crescent.

The county is evaluating its goals for the rural area that covers around 52 percent of its land, and has set up a survey to gather residential input.

"Over time, questions have been raised regarding what uses and activities are consistent with the County’s broader goals for the Rural Area, whether the goals should be revised, and whether the County is effectively using the rural preservation tools available to Virginia localities," the survey states.

Questions include how much residents should pay for land preservation, how much control the county should have over private property in the rural area, and what kinds of businesses should be allowed.

Click here to take the survey, which closes on Sept. 27. For more information, visit the Prince William County website
