U.S. Sen. Mark Warner Jokes: 'It's True. I'm Not a #Belieber'

In interview with radio station, Warner says he is ready to sign petition to deport pop star Justin Bieber.

It's not often that U.S. senators weigh in on Hollywood gossip, but in response to a question during a radio interview Tuesday, U.S. Sen. Mark Warner said he'd gladly sign a petition to deport pop star Justin Bieber.

Organizers of the petition, on WhiteHouse.gov, have gathered more than 245,000 signatures of those who want to see the singing sensation return to his native Canada, likely after his recent headline-making ways keep landing him in hot water.

"As a dad with three daughters, is there someplace I can sign?!" Warner joked in an interview Tuesday with a Hampton Roads radio station.

Here's the wording of the petition: "We the people of the United States feel that we are being wrongly represented in the world of pop culture. We would like to see the dangerous, reckless, destructive, and drug abusing, Justin Bieber deported and his green card revoked. He is not only threatening the safety of our people but he is also a terrible influence on our nations youth. We the people would like to remove Justin Bieber from our society."

Warner later tweeted: "It's true: I'm not a #Belieber" with a link to the radio station interview.
