A Woodbridge teenager faces charges after he allegedly sent an inappropriate message to a younger girl via Facebook.
Brian James McCoole, 18, of Woodbridge, is charged with taking indecent liberties with a child and using a communication system to commit acts with a minor. He is held without bond at the county jail.
McCoole was arrested on Wednesday sometime after he allegedly sent the inappropriate message to a 14-year-old girl, police said.
“The accused solicited the victim over her Facebook account,” police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said in a press release. “Family members discovered the messages and contacted the police.”
No meeting between McCoole and the girl took place, police said.
