Prince William County Police said that a teenager was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly stabbed a family member.
The unidentified 17-year-old male was arguing with a 53-year-old male family member when the incident started.
"During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim which knocked both of them to the ground," police spokesperson Officer Jonathan Perok described the incident in a press release. "Once on the ground, the accused grabbed a piece of a broken ceramic bowl and stabbed the victim."
The victim went to a neighbor's house and called the police. He was treated at a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries to his hand.
The teenager was arrested without incident and charged with malicious wounding.
