Prince William County Police are currently investigating a number of robberies that may be linked in Prince William, Fairfax and Fredericksburg.

Police said the most recent incident happened around 1 p.m. Sept. 11 at 6550 Edsall Road in Fairfax County, when two men entered the store and approached the clerk as if to pay for items. Instead, the two men assaulted the cashier, took money and fled the scene.

Police say in three of the other robberies, two men entered a 7-Eleven and displayed a handgun. They then proceeded to take money from the different 7-Eleven locations and fled.

In another incident, suspects attempted to rob a 22-year old woman while she walked in the 6300 block of Backlick Road in Springfield at around 1:45 p.m.

Both suspects in these incidents are considered armed and dangerous. They have been described as African-American males between 20 and 26 years old and around 150 to 180 pounds.

One suspect was seen in all black clothing and was between  5 feet 6 and 5 feet 8 inches tall with medium build. He wore a gray baseball cap with a white insignia, according to FCPD. The other suspect was around 5 feet 11 to 6 feet 1 inches tall and wore hooded sweatshirt and black pants. FCPD has posted surveillance video of the suspects (video is also provided above).

Police warn store employees to be cautious of anyone wearing unusual clothing for the weather conditions. Police advise citizens not to approach the suspects and call 911 immediately, if seen.

Police also remind everyone to call in suspicious activity. The suspects in these particular incidents are also believed to be responsible for numerous armed robberies in Prince William County and the City of Fredericksburg.
