Police: Woodbridge Woman Assaulted, Burned, Injured With Car

Police have arrested a man after a Woodbridge woman reported that she had been assaulted, burned, and had her toes run over with a car, Prince William County police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said. 

English Long Jackson, 39, of Woodbridge, has been charged with two counts of domestic assault and battery and malicious wounding. His court date is unavailable and he was held without bond.

Police initially responded to the report of a domestic incident on the evening of Feb. 14 on Anchorstone Drive in Woodbridge. 

"The victim, a 29-year-old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated," Perok said. "At the time of the altercation, the accused was in a vehicle while the victim was standing outside of the driver’s side door. At one point, the accused drove off, running over the victim’s toes."

The victim reported minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for her injuries. 

The accused reportedly left the house but came back just as police arrived.

"While investigating, officers learned that the victim had been assaulted two other times by the accused on Feb. 11 and February 13," Perok said. "On Feb. 11, the accused allegedly stuck a hot pan to the victim’s arm causing a burn. On Feb. 13, the victim reported that the accused pushed her down as she was walking up the stairs causing her to strike her forehead."
