Police: Woodbridge Man Charged After Head-Butting Officer

Nicholas Jack Grzegozewski, 31, was charged with a range of offenses, including assault and battery on a law enforcement officer.

A Woodbridge man allegedly head-butted an officer after he was pulled over for a suspected DUI, Prince William County Police said. 

Nicholas Jack Grzegozewski, 31, of Halleck Trail in Woodbridge, was charged with assault and battery on law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, second DUI in 10 years, unreasonable refusal of breath test, and possession of a firearm while intoxicated. 

Police pulled over Grzegozewski at 11:15 p.m. Nov. 28 near the Prince William Parkway and Reids Prospect Drive.

"As the officers were attempting to take the vehicle’s driver, the accused, into custody, he actively resisted," police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said in a press release. "At one point, the accused head-butted one of the officers causing minor injuries."

Officers subsequently found a handgun in the vehicle.
