Police: Woman Woke to Find Neighbor Standing by Her Bed

Henry Osiris Villatoro, 23, of Dumfries, was arrested on charges of burglary, possession of burglarious tools and destruction of property.

A woman awoke in the early morning Wednesday to find her neighbor in the middle of burglarizing her home, Prince William County Police said. 

Henry Osiris Villatoro, 23, of Tebbs Lane, was charged with burglary, possesion of burglarious tools and destruction of property.

Police responded to the woman's call on the 18200 block of Tebbs Lane in Dumfries at 1:14 a.m., when she reported the incident. The woman said that she was asleep in her bedroom when she woke up and saw her neighbor standing in her room, at the foot of the bed.

"After a brief encounter the accused left and returned to his residence where police located him. Officers checked the residence and determined that the accused had cut a screen from an unlocked window to make entry," Officer Jonathan Perok, a spokesman for the Prince William County Police Department, said in a press release. 

Police subsequently found a knife  on Villatoro, and he was arrested following an investigation.

The woman did not report any property missing. 

Villatoro's court date was set for Dec. 28. He was held without bond.
