A Stafford woman has been charged with attempted malicious wounding and destruction of property, Prince William County Police said.

Police have charged a Stafford woman with two counts of attempted malicious wounding and destruction of property after a vehicle was reportedly rammed repeatedly on I-95 and then spray-painted in Dale City, Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said.

Allysha Edwards, 21, was arrested April 9. Police initially responded to the 2900 block of Dale Boulevard on April 9 at 12:29 a.m. for the report of a hit and run.

"The victim, a 22-year-old man of Dumfries, reported to police that while visiting a family member on Woodmark Drive, he and the accused, a known acquaintance, got into a verbal altercation which escalated physically," Perok said. "Following the encounter, the victim and a friend left the residence in the friend’s vehicle. The accused followed the victim and allegedly rammed the vehicle multiple times while both were traveling on I-95."

The victim's friend, who was reportedly driving the vehicle, then exited the interstate and drove to Ashdale Plaza near Dale Boulevard.

"Once there, the accused allegedly struck the vehicle again before exiting her vehicle and spray painting the trunk area of the other vehicle," Perok said. "Damage was estimated around $1,000. The accused left the area prior to police arrival but returned to the scene at short time later where she was arrested without further incident."

No one was injured. Edwards' court date is unavailable, and she is being held without bond.
