Police Updates: Mob Assault; Burglary

Police updates for June 7.

A 29-year-old Dumfries man called police from the 13000 block of Patamon Way at 3 a.m. Sunday to report that he had been assaulted at a party.

Prince William County Police spokesman Jonathan Perok said the victim was intoxicated and police were unable to ascertain where the assault had taken place or how the victim ended up where he did.

The victim told police he was at a party when six unknown men had attacked him, one of them taking his cell phone. Perok said the victim was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

Burglary

Electronics worth about $3,300 were reported stolen from a home in the 3500 block of Bath Court Thursday, apparently in broad daylight. The homeowner told police the burglary happened between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Police said there were no signs that entry had been forced, and entry was likely made through an unlocked door.
