Police Updates: Flowerpot Fight; Burglaries

Police incident reports for Nov. 14.

A Dale City woman was arrested on Saturday after police said she threw a flower vase at another woman during a fight.

Marlissa Ann Nichols, 41, of 13644 Kingsman Rd., was charged with malicious wounding. Police said Nichols was in an argument with a 36-year-old woman around 3 a.m. on Saturday. During the fight, Nichols allegedly threw a flower vase at the other woman, hitting her in the face and causing minor injuries.

Nichols was held on a $2,000 secured bond. Her court date was not released.

Burglaries

Copper pipe thefts in Dale City as police reported two more recent incidents. A vacant home in the 15100 block of Cloverdale Road was the target of a theft of about $150 worth of copper piping between Nov. 8 and Nov. 12. Police said a side window had been broken out.

Another vacant home in the 15000 block of Carlsbad Road had about $100 worth of copper pipe stolen between Nov. 8 and Nov. 9. Police said a rear door had been forced open.

Police doing additional patrols in the Cloverdale neighborhood due to the high number of copper pipe burglaries discovered that a home in the 15100 block of Colder Lane had been broken into. Police said a rear window had been forced open, but no items appeared to be missing.
