Police Updates: Armed and Dangerous Suspects, Malicious Wounding, Burglary

Police updates for Friday, March 25.

Police are seeking two individuals considered armed and dangerous who are wanted on drug and firearm charges. 

Police searched 4270 Pemberly Ct. on Tuesday after receiving a tip that marijuana was to be delivered to that address. Officers found marijuana, packaging materials, a handgun and an undisclosed amount of money.

Nina Getachew, 20, and Yohannes Demess, 24, both of 4270 Pemberly Ct., are each wanted for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

Getachew is described as a black female, 5-foot-7 and 140 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Demess is a black male, 5-foot-7 and 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Police said they are considered armed and dangerous. 

Malicious Wounding

A Dale City woman was treated at the hospital for facial injuries after she was attacked during an argument Tuesday.

Police said the victim, a 52-year-old woman, reported that she was in an argument with a 15-year-old boy when the boy slammed her head into a closet door. The boy left the residence before the police arrived, but police found him and arrested him on Wednesday. He is charged with malicious wounding and being held at a juvenile detention facility.

Burglary

Copper wire and pipe worth about $300 were reported stolen from a construction trailer in the 5900 block of Hoadly Road on Tuesday, police said. Construction workers on the scene told police that the burglary had occurred between 5:00 p.m. on Monday and 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Police said entry appeared to have been made through a rear door which had been forced open.
