A Dale City woman was treated at the hospital for facial injuries after she was attacked during an argument Tuesday.

Police said the victim, a 52-year-old woman, reported that she was in an argument with a 15-year-old boy when the boy slammed her head into a closet door. The boy left the residence before the police arrived, but police found him and arrested him on Wednesday. He is charged with malicious wounding and being held at a juvenile detention facility.

Copper wire and pipe worth about $300 were reported stolen from a construction trailer in the 5900 block of Hoadly Road on Tuesday, police said. Construction workers on the scene told police that the burglary had occurred between 5:00 p.m. on Monday and 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Police said entry appeared to have been made through a rear door which had been forced open.
