Police Seeking Information on Shootings

Two incidents of gunfire in two days have the Prince William County Police asking the public for information.

A house and a car were struck by bullets in two separate incidents in the past two days, Prince William County Police said.

On Saturday, the owner of a car reported finding what appeared to be damage from bullets on  the rear driver's side door, rear bumper and driver's side mirror. The car was parked in the 15500 block of Traverser Court. The victim reported that the incident had occurred between 12:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. A neighbor told police that they had heard gunshots at about 2:30 a.m.

A homeowner in the 5600 block of Roundtree Drive discovered holes in the side of his house on Sunday. He said that he had heard a gunshot between 12:30 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. Police said that no bullets penetrated the building and property damage was minor.
