Police Seeking Information on Robberies

Police are asking the public for help in two possibly related strong-arm robberies that occurred on Delaney Road Friday.

Two strong-arm robberies in Dale City on Friday have police asking the public for help.

Prince William County police said both incidents occurred along Delaney Road within about 15 minutes of each other. In the first, a 15-year-old male reported that he was walking along the sidewalk on Delaney Road near Dale Boulevard when he was attacked by two men. One of the attackers knocked the boy to the ground and both of the men kicked him before taking a cell phone and other property and running away.

In the second incident, a 17-year-old male and an 18-year-old male reported that they were walking on Delaney Road near Kirkdale Drive when two men approached them and began assaulting the 17-year-old while the 18-year-old ran from the area. The attackers took the victim's coat and wallet before fleeing.

The victims in both attacks reported minor injuries.

Police said the descriptions of the attackers in both cases were similar. They are on the lookout for two black males between 15 and 20 years old. One of the attackers is estimated to be 5-foot-10 and 200 pounds with short hair. The second was reported to be approximately 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-8 and 150 to 160 pounds with short dreadlocks.
