Police Search for Man Who Robbed SunTrust Bank

The man stole an undisclosed amount of money on Tuesday afternoon.

Prince William County Police are searching for a man who reportedly robbed the SunTrust bank in Woodbridge. 

The unknown man entered the bank on Jefferson Davis Highway shortly before 5 p.m. on Tuesday, implied he had a weapon and demanded money, police said. The man grabbed an undisclosed amount of money and fled on foot towards the VRE station. No one saw a weapon at any point. 

Officers called out a K-9 and established a perimeter around the bank. They did not locate the suspect.

No one reported any injuries. 

The man was described as about 40-50 years old, black, brown eyes, about 6 feet tall, 185 pounds, with a thin build. He had a goatee and was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, sneakers and blue jeans.
