Police: Neighbor Brandished Machete After Teen Damaged Pool

The neighbor is charged with brandishing, and charges are pending against the teenager for damaging the pool, Prince William County Police said.

A Dale City man brought a machete out of his house after a teenager threw a pole in his backyard, damaging his pool, Prince William County Police said.

Nelson Rodriguez, 32, of Cloverdale Road, is charged with brandishing a machete. Charges are also pending against the 16-year-old male for the damage to the pool.

After Rodriguez saw the teenager throw the pole, he came out of the house with the machete, police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said. The boy then ran into his house, where he waited inside until police arrived.
