A Triangle man is facing several charges after failing to stop for a traffic violation, according to Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok.
James Robert Johnson Jr., 32, of the 3600 block of Wharf Lane, Triangle, is charged with reckless driving, felony eluding, driving on a suspended license, possession of marijuana and resisting arrest.
At 7:47 p.m. Wednesday, a PWCPD officer was attempting to make a stop of Johnson's vehicle near the intersection of Old Triangle Road and Soundview Circle in Triangle.
Johnson allegedly ignored the officer's lights and siren and continued driving on the wrong side of Graham Park Road, according to Perok. The suspect eventually stopped in front of his Wharf Lane home.
"Once at the address, officers attempted to arrest the accused," Perok said. "Following a brief struggle, the accused was taken into custody."
Marijuana was found on Johnson during a search, Perok said.
Johnson is being held without bond. His court date is May 8.
