Police: 7-Eleven Store Robbed at Gunpoint

The robbery occurred on Oct. 10, Prince William County Police said.

A Dale City 7-Eleven store was robbed on Wednesday, according to Prince William County Police reports.

Police responded to an incident around 12:45 a.m., when an unknown man reportedly entered the store on Darbydale Avenue, showed a handgun and demanded money. The robber stole an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing on foot, police said. No one reported any injuries.

Police are on the lookout for a black man said to be between 18-25 years old, about 5-foot-11, 165 pounds, with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black zip-up hooded sweatshirt, black scarf, white shoes, black pants and striped gloves.

This 7-11 gets robbed on a regular basis. Perhaps closing it around 11pm would save a lot of problems. This is right near my home and I never go there past 9:30 pm at the latest. I have complained to the female manager on many occasions about the way people hang out in the front and actually beg for money and I have been followed to my car. I have actually more than once turned around and went back inside the store until I felt safe to leave. The manager just shrugs her shoulders and blows it off. Of course she only works day light hours and leaves the night shift to the men. I honestly believe this is at a point where PWPD and the community need to step up and make a real decision on the safety of this store. Many kids are around since Godwin is across the street and someone is going to get hurt if action is not taken seriously soon.
