One Arrested, One Wanted After Burglary

A reported burglary on Monday led to a police raid and charges for two men.

A in response to a burglary call Monday led to the arrest of one suspect and charges for another suspect who police said escaped.

Police were called to the 3300 block of Ladino Court for a burglary on Monday and set up a perimeter around the home with tactical teams after determining that a suspect was inside the home with several guns.

Brandon Delonte Braxton, 18, of 5542 Victory Lp. in Manassas, surrendered to police. Prince William County Police spokesman Jonathan Perok said another suspect, Daniel James Gilliam, 18, of 14718 Birchdale Dr., had been inside the home but escaped. Police said three guns were reported missing from the home.

Police tried to find Gilliam at his home, and later pulled over a vehicle that Gilliam was in, but Gilliam once again escaped. Police searched for him with tactical teams and K-9 units, but were unable to find him.

Gilliam is described as a black male, 5 feet, 7 inches tall, 150 pounds, with brown eyes and black, afro-style hair. He is wanted for burglary and grand larceny of a firearm.

Investigators said they linked Braxton to a in the 15200 block of Warbler Ct. A woman had arrived home to see two men standing on her back deck. A rifle and a handgun were reported missing.

Braxton is charged with two counts of burglary and two counts of grand larceny of a firearm. He was held without bond, and his court date was not released.
