Multiple Home Burglaries Within Days

Several Dale City homes were burglarized within a few days of each other this week.

A spate of burglaries in Dale City recently included thousands of dollars worth of electronics, clothing, guns and other items from homes.

Shoes, a gaming console and related games worth about $4,500 were reported stolen from a home in the 5400 block of Quaint Drive on Tuesday. Police said there were no signs of forced entry, and entry appeared to have been made through an unsecured window. The homeowner told police the burglary had taken place between 12:00 p.m. and 6:45 p.m.

A homeowner in the 4400 block of Ensbrook Lane reported on Wednesday that a laptop, gaming console and related games worth about $900 had been stolen. In that case, police said it appeared that a living room window had been forced open.

Electronics and a handgun and ammunition worth about $900 were reported stolen from a home in the 14400 block of Artery Lane Tuesday, and two guitars worth a total of about $800 were reported stolen from the 12900 block of Kidwell Drive on Monday. Police said in one of those cases entry had been made through an open window, and in the other case, through an unlocked rear sliding door.Β 

A $500 television was reported stolen from the 4600 block of Telfair Drive on Saturday. Police said a rear window had been broken out.
