Police: Masked Man Sexually Assaulted Motel Clerk at Knifepoint

Prince William County Police are seeking information related to the assault.

A man tricked a motel clerk outside, then sexually assaulted her at knifepoint Tuesday, Prince William County Police said.

Police and detectives from the Special Victims Bureau responded to the Econo Lodge on Gordon Blvd in Woodbridge at 10:13 p.m. The 33-year-old Woodbridge woman reported to police that when she was working, she received a call to let a guest into one of the rooms.

"As the victim was walking to the room, in the stairwell, she was approached from behind by a masked man who then forced her into the room at knife point. Once inside the room, the victim was knocked unconscious and sexually assaulted," Officer Jonathan Perok, a spokesman for the police department, said in a press release.

Police determined through their investigation that the room the clerk was called to was vacant. The victim was not able to provide police with a further description of the assailant.

The assault was the second at the motel in under a month: in November, a man reportedly attempted to assault a motel cleaning lady, but she was able to fend him off. Police arrested a man in relation to the first case.
