According to Perok, detectives began their investigation on Friday, March 22, after claims that Jara had sexually assaulted the Woodbridge girl in January 2012 and February 2013 in her home. Street information is being withheld by Patch to protect the identity of the child.

"Detectives further learned that the accused had also attempted to sexually assault another victim, a 9-year-old girl, during the same time period," Perok said.
