Homeowner Catches Would-Be Burglar in the Act
The woman heard a noise at the back door and saw a man trying to open it.
A Woodbridge homeowner intercepted a burglar as he was trying to get into her home, Prince William County Police said.
A homeowner on the 1500 block of Woodside drive reported at 11:30 p.m. on Jan. 11 that an unknown man had tried to enter her home. The woman heard a noise coming from a kitchen door, checked out the noise and then saw the man. He was trying to open a rear door, but when the woman found him there, he fled on foot.
No one entered the home and no property was reported missing.
