Update: As of 9:40 a.m. all lanes are opened to through traffic on I-95, said Geller.
Virginia State Police are working on Interstate 95 at mile marker 150.9 near Triangle for a single-vehicle crash.
Virginia State Police spokesperson Corinne Geller said state police were called to the scene at 8:21 a.m. The crash occurred near the 151 mile marker.
"The northbound lanes were temporarily closed to allow two medical-transport helicopters to land and transport two victims from the scene to Inova Fairfax Hospital," said Geller in an email. "Due to the lane closures, northbound traffic delays have occurred."
Geller said that as of 9:19 a.m., two northbound lanes were reopened to traffic.
"But, those heading north on I-95 towards Prince William County should expect delays as traffic just now begins to move through the area once again," said Geller.
Information about the cause of the crash and status of the passengers was not immediately available.
