Dumfries Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting Two Woodbridge Girls

An 8-year-old and a 10-year-old were allegedly sexually assaulted.

Police have charged a Dumfries man with aggravated sexual battery and indecent liberties after two Woodbridge girls were reportedly sexually assaulted, said Prince William County police spokesperson Jonathan Perok.

The sexual assaults reportedly occurred Jan. 19, and Special Victims Bureau detectives began an investigation Jan. 20.

"The investigation revealed that the victims, an 8-year-old girl and a 10-year-old girl, both of Woodbridge, were at the residence of the accused, a known acquaintance, when both were sexually assaulted," Perok said.

After the investigation, the accused was arrested Jan. 21. He was charged with two counts of aggravated sexual battery and two counts of indecent liberties. His court date is unavailable. He is being held without bond.

We do not provide any details that might identify the victims. In the case of sexual assaults by known acquaintances, identifying the accused could lead to identifying the victim.

Wow and i thought blacks didn't do this kind of thing, lol. I thought it was a white problem or is portrayed like that. Actually when you don't provide information on the accused then no one knows where these individuals are living thus making all our communities less safe. The idea generally backfires and these individuals tend to committ further similar crimes.

I truly hope after the accuser spends time with " Bubby and the boy's" in the big house, they will realize how it feels to be a victim, ( I know I watch too many T.V programs ) . We all should take a look ta the national data base for sex offenders in our area. Just to be better aware of our surrounds ! Let's pray for the young children who's lives have been ripped apart because of this incident .

"The Accused" was more than likely a trusted family member. It is so horrifying to know that our children simply aren't safe. @ John - it's very much a "black" problem. It is very common for black people to sweep it under the rug, accuse the child of lying, or simply keep their children away from that person in the future. That's something that definitely needs to change.
