D.C. Woman Charged with Using Local Hotel for Prostitution

Police said the woman used a social networking website to solicit customers. The following arrest information was provided by the Prince William County police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Washington, D.C. woman was arrested Saturday and charged with using a room at a local hotel for prostitution.

Police received a call of suspicious activity in one of the hotel rooms at the Potomac Mills Best Western, where they arrested Lakiesha Janette Brown, 25, of 1805 I Street in Washington D.C. Police said Brown admitted to using a room in the hotel for her prostitution business.

Police said Brown used a known social networking website to solicit customers.

Brown was charged with prostitution and possession of marijuana, which police said they found in the room. She was held on a $2,000 secured bond. Court date information was not available.

A Pittsburgh man was arrested in Dale City on Saturday and charged with drug posession. Police stopped a vehicle near the intersection of Cardinal Drive and Waterway Drive. During a search, police said they found a narcotic in the possession of one of the passengers, Kevin Walker Chirigos, 27, of 320 Fort Duquesne Blvd. in Pittsburgh, Penn.

Chirigos was charged with posession of a schedule I/II narcotic and held on a bond of an unknown amount. He is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 11.
