Dale City VFD Responds to Lake Ridge Chimney Fire

The fire was isolated in the flue and put out before doing any damage.

Units from the Dale City Volunteer Fire Department put out a Friday evening before the fire did any damage to the home.

The fire was reported at the house at 4572 Occoquan Overlook at 8:48 p.m., said Chief Steve Chappell of DCVFD. The fire was put out in the chimney within five minutes of units arriving, Chappell said.

"No big deal, no damage to the house," Chappell said.
