Dale City Man Charged With Aggravated Sexual Battery Against a Minor

The accused was a known acquaintance of the victim. The following arrest information was supplied by the Fairfax County police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Dale City man has been charged with aggravated sexual battery, indecent liberties with a minor, and object sexual penetration after a police investigation found that a 14-year-old Woodbridge girl had been reportedly sexually assaulted, police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said. 

Detectives from the Special Victims Bureau began investigating the reported assault on Friday at 3:11 p.m. 

"The investigation revealed that the victim, a 14-year-old female of Woodbridge, had been sexually assaulted by the accused, a known acquaintance," Perok said. "Following an investigation, the accused was subsequently arrested."

His court date is unavailable. He is being held without bond. 

Under the Virginia code section on aggravated sexual battery, if convicted, the accused would face one to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $100,000.
