Crime Blotter: Dale City Sports Club Burglarized

Police are investigating several recent burglaries.

Prince William County Police are investigating several apparently unrelated burglaries in the Woodbridge area. 

Police responded to the following recent incidents:

Oct. 26, 11:01 a.m. Staff at the Dale City Sports Club on Birchdale Avenue in Dale City reported that a burglary occurred between 5 p.m. Oct. 24 and 10:50 a.m. on Oct. 26. Entry was likely made through a side door which was forced open, police said, and an undisclosed amount of money was reported missing.

Oct. 26, 2:15 p.m. A homeowner on the 12300 block of Antietam Road in the Lake Ridge area reported that she received a call from a neighbor, saying an unknown person in the woman's backyard around 11 a.m. The homeowner returned home and found scuff marks on a rear window. No one entered the residence. No property was missing. 

Oct. 27, 11:53 p.m. A homeowner on the 1500 block of Tyler Circle in Woodbridge reported to police a burglary occurred between 12 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. The burglar appeared to have entered through the front door, which was forced open. The homeowner reported that an undisclosed amount of money was missing.

Oct. 30, 8:57 p.m. Police responded to the Exxon at Tacketts Mill on Minnieville Road in Lake Ridge for a report of a burglary. Employees reported that the burglary occurred between 6:30p.m. and 8:40 p.m. The burglar likely entered through a side window, and stole a laptop, valued around $350.
