Prince William County Police responded to two apparently unrelated burglaries in Woodbridge on Oct. 16.
A homeowner on the 13600 block of Kitty Hawk Way reported to police that between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m., she heard a loud bang outside. Later on, she saw that the front door was damaged. Police said it appeared that someone had tried to force the door open, but no one entered the home. No property was missing.
Another homeowner on the 3700 block of Hetten Lane reported that between 8:10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., an unknown person tried to enter through a rear door. The door was damaged, but no property reported missing.
