Burglary Victims Arrested on Drug Charges

Three men were arrested Thursday after police discovered drugs while investigating a break-in at their house.

The victims of an armed burglary ended up being arrested on Thursday after police discovered drugs in their residence.

Police said that on Wednesday night, two black men armed with handguns and dressed in black with gloves and masks crawled through an open window into a home in the 4200 block of Glendale Road.

The intruders ordered all the residents of the home to get on the ground. One of the intruders struck one of the home’s occupants in the face with a handgun, cutting his face.

The suspect dragged the victim into a bedroom and fired a shot with his handgun, but didn’t hit anyone. The suspects then fled through the front door. Nothing was reported missing from the home.

Police responded and in the course of the investigation, discovered marijuana in the home.  One person was arrested immediately. Police returned to the home on Thursday with a search warrant and discovered marijuana, cocaine and packaging materials. Two more people were arrested.

The incident did not appear to be random, according to Prince William County Police spokeswoman Michelle Nemerow, who said that the victims may have known the culprits. 

Alexander Omar Jacob, 22, of 4202 Glendale Rd., was charged with possession with intent to distribute. No court date or bond information was made available.

Cleavon Latrell Smith, 32, of 4202 Glendale Rd., was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine. He was held on a $10,000 bond. 

Justin Lamar Collins, 22, of 3040 Fox Lair Dr., was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana. He was held on a $2,000 bond.

Police are still on the lookout for the intruders.

Assault by Mob

A Woodbridge teen reported being assaulted by a group at a bus stop near the Sharrom Baucom Dale City Recreation Center on Monday. The victim reported that a white male attacked him first and two black males joined the attack. All three were unidentified and ran off after the attack. The victim was treated at the hospital for minor injuries to his face and then released.
