Arrest in Dale City Home Invasion

Police have arrested a man in connection with the June 2 home invasion in Dale City. The following arrest information was supplied by the Prince William County police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Police have arrested a man they say is one of two suspects who and held the occupants at gunpoint.

Darryl Edward Jones, 29, of 15286 Barnabas Trail, was arrested Tuesday and charged with five counts of abduction, one count of entering a dwelling to commit robbery, one count of possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Police said Jones and another man broke into a home in the 14600 block of Endsley Turn on June 2 while an accomplice waited outside. Jones held a 26-year-old Fairfax man and four children in an upstairs bedroom at gunpoint while his partner searched the home, police said.

Jones was held without bond. He will have a court appearance on July 26. Police are still investigating the identity of the other two men involved.
