Armed Robber Hits Darbydale Avenue 7-Eleven

Armed man robbed the Darbydale 7-Eleven this morning, taking money and cigarettes.

An armed man stole money and cigarettes today from the the 7-Eleven at 14797 Darbydale Drive.

The Prince William County Police stated that the robber is a black man, who at the time was wearing a black jacket with a blue-hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, black shoes, black gloves and a black scarf that covered his face. The suspect appeared to be in his early 20s, 5-feet 8-inches tall and about 160 pounds.

The clerk told police that he was outside cleaning when the armed man approached him at 2:01 a.m. They both entered the store and the robber went behind the counter and took money and cigarettes before running away.

The police department also reported that at about 3:41 on Dec. 27 officers responded to the 14300 block of Fullerton Road for a burglary of a vacant home. The property owner told police that the burglary occurred between 5 p.m. on Dec. 23 and 3:41 p.m. on Dec. 27. The owner thinks the thief entered the property through a basement window that was removed. About $7,000 worth of copper pipes were reported missing.
