Thanks for the Memories

On December 2, 2010,  was the only news and community directory website dedicated to the Dale City area. It's been my privilege to serve as the editor for the last 15 months, but now it's time for me to say goodbye. Life has taken me elsewhere, and today marks my last day as the editor of Dale City Patch.

I've been honored to meet and write about some amazing people in my time here, like , a Vietnam veteran who was one of the highest-ranking African-American officers in the Marine Corps at the time. I've been present at uplifting events like the , but also seen this area's problems firsthand, like when homeless people were . I've even had the opportunity to write about who became a friend.

As I start a new chapter in my life, Dale City Patch will be in good hands. For the immediate future, Woodbridge Patch editor Lauren Jost and Lake Ridge-Occoquan editor Rachel Leon will be keeping an eye on the site.
