Hispanic Heritage Month's Hospitality Leader
Robert Rolong immigrated to the United States from Colombia when he was 13 years old. Throughout his life, he has demonstrated an admirable work ethic, earning a college degree while working at Old Country Buffet and being promoted several times within the system, starting out as a dishwasher sixteen years ago and ensuring a great guest experience today as a Service Manager.
Robert says the most rewarding part of his day is working with guests, and he strives to ensure all guests have an enjoyable experience at his restaurant.

“I’m a people person, so I like that I get to serve others and make them happy. At the end of the day, knowing that I helped make someone’s day better gives me great pleasure,” said Robert.

When he isn’t studying or working at the restaurant, Robert spends his free time as a soccer referee for adult and youth recreational leagues.
“I keep soccer close to my heart. It reminds me of afternoons in Colombia when my friends and I would go out and play anywhere we could after school and on the weekends. Being able to bring my love of soccer to others is rewarding,” said Robert.
As one of the youngest Service Managers at Old Country Buffet, Robert continues to work hard, and is now pursuing a Masters degree. He is truly on the road to success!
