Clean Sweep at Prince William Forest Park

Calling All Volunteers!

Prince William Forest Park is ready for spring cleaning! The historic cabins at the park are in desperate need of a good clean out. Operation Clean Sweep is event that the park puts on each year to sweep, wipe, and fix up the cabins before the summer season starts.

This event is great for volunteers 13 and older who would like to get dirty! As a volunteer you will be able to see the cabins that were constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930's.  The park must prepare over 100 cabins for the summer season and we can't do it with out your help!

Operation Clean Sweep 2014 will be held on two days this year! April 12th and 19th from 8am to 12pm both days. We are in need of 50 volunteers both days. If you would like to volunteer please email stephanie_pooler@nps.gov  with the day you would like to volunteer and how many people in your group.
