Election 2013: You're Not Voting Tuesday? Why Not?

Will Virginia voters stay away from the polls in droves?

The outcome of Tuesday’s election for Virginia governor is still very much uncertain, but here’s something you can count on: A lot of people won’t vote.

The most recent Washington Post poll on Tuesday’s Virginia election shows that only 64 percent of registered voters said they were certain that they would cast ballots.

In a campaign season with more mud than policy being thrown around, voter turnout could very well be even less than that, which is why Democrat Terry McAuliffe and Republican Ken Cuccinelli are spending the final days of the campaign appealing to the base of each party.
