Weekend Planner: Craft Show, Build a Trail, Yard Sale, and Concerts

Want ideas for how to get out of the house and get involved in the community this weekend? Dale City Patch is here to help with your weekend planner.

Where/When: Leesylvania State Park 2001 Daniel K Ludwig Dr, Saturday June 4, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Why Go: Help create an important connection on the Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail leading from Julie J. Metz Wetlands to Leesylvania State park, laying stones and cutting brush. Volunteers will meet on Neabsco Road between Metz Wetlands and Leesylvania State Park anytime between 9:00 a.m. and noon. Tools, water, gloves and snacks provided, as well as special thank you gifts for participants. Long pants and sturdy shoes recommended.

Where/When: 13505 Hillendale Dr, (at the Arc of Greater Prince William's parking lot), Saturday June 4, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Why Go:  Come set up your own table at a community yard sale to help support the Prince William County Roaring Lions. Set-up begins at 7:00 a.m. Contact Tony Reyes (703-309-2085 or vawave@aol.com) for more information. Help support the newest Lions Club in Prince William County. Donations gladly accepted also.

Pricing: $10 per space.

 Where/When: , 200 Mill St, Occoquan, Saturday June 4 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Sunday June 5, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Why Go: The Spring Craft Show, held in the streets of Occoquan’s Historic District, rain or shine,  will include both contemporary and country crafters and artisans from Occoquan and from all around the United States.  The Occoquan Arts and Crafts show is one of the finest shows on the east coast and a must for anyone who loves the craft show experience. The show has been an annual event for over 25 years.

Pricing: Free.

 Where/When: 570 Harbor Side Street, Sunday June 5, 6:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.

Why Go: Come to a community concert held outdoors at the Belmont Bay Marina Pavilion, located near the Harbor Master's Bldg. A lawn chair or blanket is recommended. This event is sponsored by the Belmont Bay HOA Social Committee.

Pricing: Free.

Where/When: , 13065 Chinn Park Dr, Sunday June 5, 1:00 p.m.

 Why Go: Come listen to soprano Chelsea Camile and guitarist David Issacs, of Chanson Du Soir, at Chinn Park Regional Library and spend the afternoon enjoying their delightful, family-friendly, classical music. This is an open event and all are welcome to attend and enjoy.
