Why Go:  Come and cheer on your favorite wrestlers in the region as the GMS Governors play host to the Regional Wrestling Tournament. This is an open event and all are welcome to attend and support their favorite wrestlers.

Pricing: Free.

Where/When: , 14300 Minnieville Rd, Friday March 18, 7:00 p.m.

Why Go: The Dale City Recreation Centerinvites anyone ages six years old and up to participate in a Judo class and learn how to stay fit through self-defense.  This class will also help participants develop physical education and moral and intellectual training. 

Pricing: $73 for twelve, 40 minute classes.

Where/When: A.J. Ferlazzo Building 15941 Donald Curtis Dr, Saturday March 19, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Why Go: Help other adults improve their reading and writing skills with the Literacy Volunteers of America. There are adult students waiting to be matched to volunteer tutors.  No experience is necessary.  This training session will teach you to become a certified adult literacy tutor.  You must attend both this March 19th class and an April 2nd (9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.) class to become a certified tutor.

Where/When: , 12350 Cotton Mill Dr., Saturday March 19, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Why Go: Anyone ages 12 years old and up are welcome to come learn about the essentials of wilderness survival. Participants will learn what they should carry in their pack and what to do in the case of an emergency while out exploring. Participants will also get the chance to learn how to use the latest outdoor gear.

Pricing: $15

Where/When: , 13065 Chinn Park Dr., Saturday March 19, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Why Go: Give the gift of life by donating blood. Register for a time slot online at www.inova.org/donateblood. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are given priority. You must weigh at least 110 pounds, be healthy for the three or more previous days, and present a photo ID. Make sure to eat a meal and drink plenty of fluids 6 hours prior to donating.
