Where/When:  Saturday Feb. 19, 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Why Go: Get the kids moving and hopping to a mix of Jazz, Hip Hop, and Lyrical dance. Students participate in a warm-up, stretches, techniques, floor work, and choreography.

Pricing: $44 for four 1 hour classes.

Where/When: Ferlazzo Building on Donald Curtis Dr. Woodbridge, Saturday Feb. 19, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Why Go: Thinking about buying a home but unsure of how to start the whole process? This one-day training session hosted by VHDA will help you learn the essential steps of the home buying process. Refreshments will be served for breakfast and lunch.

Pricing: Free.

Where/When: , Saturday Feb. 19, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Why Go: Need volunteer hours? Every 3rd Saturday of the month you can spend the morning at the Lake Ridge Park to help the community and get some outdoor activity. There will be indoor and outdoor projects to clean up the parks and facilities. Be sure to call ahead to learn about receiving community service hours for various programs. Families and kids welcome.

Where/When: in Occaquan, Sunday, Feb. 20, 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Why Go: Join Jack Nevitt for a beginning Photoshop class. If you want to learn how to use Photoshop to edit your photos and work, this is a great local way to start.

Pricing: $79 fee per student.

5. Musical Celebration of Black History Month

Where/When: Hylton Performing Arts Center Saturday Feb. 19, 10:00 a.m. - Art Show, 11:00 a.m. - Concert

Why Go: The George Mason University Wind Symphony and Opera Ensemble, joined by the Duke Ellington Show Choir and members of area church “Voices of Zion” and “Voices of Tomorrow Today” Youth Choirs, invite you to attend a Musical Celebration in honor of Black History Month. The concert will be preceded by an Art Show featuring works by students from Prince William County Public Schools, with an interactive arts experience for all attendees.

Pricing: $10 per ticket.
