Why Go: Come watch this hilarious classic musical about the founding of our country. The play was written by Sherman Edwards and Peter Stone, and directed by Zina Bleck.

Why Go: Godspell is a 1969 musical by Stephen Schwartz and John-Michael Tebelak. It started as a college project performed by students at Carnegie Mellon University. "Day by Day" from the original cast album, reached #13 on the Billboard pop singles chart in the summer of 1972. Godspell tells its story using a series of parables, based on the Gospel of Matthew, and songs using many different music styles (folk, rock, gospel, vaudeville.) The crucifixion is symbolically depicted at the end of the show. Suitable for all family members. Directed by Zina Bleck.

Pricing: $14/general admission; $11/seniors, students, children 12 and under, military and PWC employees; $10/groups of 10.

 Where/When: , 12350 Oakwood Dr, Saturday May 7, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Why Go: The Annual Yard Sale is just around the corner. Come to the Lake Ridge Parks and Recreation Association office parking area where hidden treasures will abound. Each seller will be issued a parking space size area in which to present their offerings to the community. Tables are not included. Set up begins at 7:00 a.m. To reserve a space, stop by the LRPRA office.

Pricing: One parking space area is $15 for LRPRA Members and $20 for non-members.

Where/When: Center for the Arts, Concert Hall, 4400 University Dr, Fairfax, VA 22030, Sunday May 8, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Why Go: Student winners of the annual Concerto Competition at George Mason University School of Music perform as soloists with the Symphony Orchestra. The Orchestra, University Singers, Chorale and Women's Chorale perform the Bruckner "Te Deum" as the finale.

Pricing: $20/general admission; $15/students and seniors.

Where/When: Leesylvania State Park, 2001 Daniel K Ludwig Dr, Sunday May 8, 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Why Go: Bring your mom for a fun afternoon Civil War era tea time. Hot tea and refreshments will be served while participants learn the proper way to hold a tea cup, carry on conversation, and how to serve guests.  Participants will also learn how to speak the "language of the fan" and make their own fans to take home.
