Sights and Sounds: A Wounded Warrior Comes Home

Marine Cpl. Josh Himan came home to Dale City on Saturday amid a cheering crowd.

Hundreds of people lined the streets of Dale City on Saturday to . Himan was welcomed with cheering crowds, speeches and banners, and a newly renovated house.

Himan returned to his family's home on Orangewood Drive, escorted by a police motorcade. The house renovation was a project of the Northern Virginia Fuller Center. Himan's family was unsure how he would be able to live at home in his wheelchair until the Fuller Center project widened doorways and made the house wheelchair accessible.

The renovation took place in only 90 days with contractors, volunteer labor and donations of money and materials. Northern Virginia Fuller Center President Jacob Koch said donations added up to approximately $200,000.
